David Holloway – Never One To Sit Still

Despite being 78 years old, David Holloway is still working and has never had a job that didn’t demand him to be physically active. But when joint pain struck he was worried about the impact it would have on his life.

This is David’s story…

From an early age, I knew I wasn’t going to be one of those to be sitting around the house. So I went to work delivering coal. I’ve been a coalman, I’ve been a bus conductor, I’ve been a shop manager, I’ve been a telephone engineer and now I run my own business doing painting and decorating. Even in my spare time I like to keep active; I’ve got a huge garden I love looking after, I go for long walks and I like to watch a bit of football now and again.

I’ve reached an age where I find if I sit down I begin to ache. But if I’m moving I feel great. During COVID and lockdown I felt I couldn’t just sit about the house doing nothing, so I decided to build myself a summer house in the garden. After going up and down a lot of stairs, in and out of my workshop and doing all sorts of things in the garden, my knees were beginning to feel a bit of pain. I spoke to the doctor who said, “Ahh, Mr. Holloway life is catching up with you and you’ve got osteoarthritis.” So I asked him what can I do about it, and he said, “Take some painkillers”.

I’m not really a fan of painkillers if I’m honest, I’ll take paracetamol if I need to, but I can’t take ibuprofen because it upsets my stomach. I didn’t want to just give over to them if I could help it. So I went to a pharmacy and the fella there showed me this FlexiSEQ stuff and said, “Try this, everyone who buys it swears by it”. So, I got home, tried it for a couple of weeks and what do you know – the pain was gone!

My wife is from Thailand and we have a house in Bangkok which we go to regularly. We went the other month and just before we left I woke up and my hip was in terrible pain, I thought, I can’t be getting on a 12-13 hour flight feeling like this. I rang the doctor and she said to me, “You’ve got osteoarthritis in the hip but it’s too early for an operation, so I’ll give you some strong painkillers.” Boy did those painkillers make me feel ill. Just before we were meant to go I walked into my conservatory where I’d left a half-tube of FlexiSEQ, stuck some of that on and the pain eased off a bit. So I went back to buy more and by the time we were ready to leave for Thailand, the pain was much better. I packed the tube with me and off we went.

I’ve recommended FlexiSEQ to so many people and they all agree: it works. I always keep a tube in the house and if I feel a bit of pain, I stick some on. Last time we were in Thailand I was at the bar with a friend and I mentioned we almost didn’t make it out this time due to my osteoarthritis and he says to me, “Oh David, I’m riddled with the stuff.” So I told him to try FlexiSEQ, but we couldn’t find it out there so I gave him some of mine. He tried it and said, “My God, it’s bloody marvellous!” So FlexiSEQ really does work.
